And the wines from the Penedès or Montant regions, from the Costers del Segre and the Priorat, Catalonia’s cru region, are equally sought after and acclaimed. Above all in terms of organic viticulture, the region is in a class of its own – not least as a result of organic pioneer and long-standing Delinat wine producer Albet i Noya.

Albet i Noya was one of the first to switch entirely to forward-looking, sustainable cultivation and now to manage his business in accordance with the Delinat method. In addition to sparkling wine (formerly Cava), many fruity, fresh white wines are emerging as well as often complex, mineral red wines.
