Wine from Italy – Viva l'Italia
The fact that wine from diversity-based agriculture tastes better has long since ceased to be a secret in Italy. Italy is playing a leading role with regard to organic farming. Nothing is more important for the Italians than tasty cuisine and good wines. Every region is full of specialities and many of them are highly appreciated around the world.

The proportion of vineyards with near-natural cultivation is increasing year by year; more and more wine producers are also taking on the challenge to follow the demanding Delinat guidelines and in doing so contributing to greater diversity in nature. It takes commitment and heart. As, for example, in the vineyard of the Fasoli brothers in the Veneto region, who produce an excellent Soave among other wines, or in the vineyard of Sicilian Massimo Maggio, whose Bonarossa is one of the public’s favourites.
Italian wine – classics and newcomers
Amarone, Barolo, Chianti, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano: all well-known flagship wines from the highly respected Veneto, Piedmont and Tuscany wine regions. One particular jewel in the Delinat wine catalogue is the repeatedly prize-winning Il Conventino Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva from Tuscany.
But there are also wines that make the heart beat faster from other regions too. For example, Apulia, Sicily, Umbria and the Marche region offer tasty, full-bodied wines and contribute much to the fascinating diversity. “Bella Italia” is also the name of our sampler pack, a Giro d'Italia throughout the entire country. On your bikes!
Variations – sparkling and white
It is certainly clear that red wines made from Sangiovese, Barbera, Nero d‘Avola and Primitivo play the leading role in Italy. But whether in the north or the south, excellent and occasionally surprising white wines are now being produced everywhere. Varieties such as Garganega, Trebbiano, Malvasia, Pinot Grigio and Grillo produce distinctive, unmistakable wines that have a firm place in Italian cuisine. The “Bollicine”, the sparkling Prosecco, Spumante and Moscato wines. are also finding increasing favour among consumers.
