The young German (wine) wave

Germany contributes some fantastic wines made from Riesling, Spätburgunder and Weissburgunder grapes to the Delinat range, as well as sparkling wines such as the popular Delsecco. Young winemakers stride boldly forward with an innovative spirit: Alex Pflüger from the Palatinate, Tobias Zimmer from Rheinhessen and Timo Dienhart from the Mosel are sounding out the potential and causing a furore with their wines. Well-known vineyards such as Ökonomierat Rebholz, Battenfeld Spanier or Kühling-Gillot are also up at the front. Real class from Riesling and Spätburgunder

Riesling is for many the epitome of first-class German wine. A characteristic feature of this late-ripening grape variety is fruity tartness. It is especially pronounced in northerly, cool wine-growing areas such as on the Mosel, in Rheinhessen and the Palatinate. Here the grapes carry on ripening to perfection late into the autumn with very different nuances depending on location, soil and microclimate. But Germany also has something important to say in the case of the Spätburgunder. Evidence of this can be found in the elegant Spätburgunder wines of the Delinat wine producers.
